What gives us pause

• $250 refinement fee: its current refund policy explicitly states this amount for approved refinements after treatment.
• Refund window narrows quickly: cancellations are generally limited to the first five days, and manufactured aligners are not returnable.
• Public support/delay complaints: several Reddit discussions from 2025–2026 describe long waits or difficulty reaching support. These are anecdotes, not a measured complaint rate.
• Remote treatment trade-off: saying a dentist reviews a plan is not the same as receiving an in-person orthodontic exam, records and ongoing chairside management.

Current pricing

ALIGNERCO's official clear-aligner page currently advertises an All-Day plan at $725, down from a displayed $1,095, and its NightOnly plan at $925, down from a displayed $1,295. Its kit-first option is $29.99 in our latest update. The page says the All-Day schedule is 22 hours/day for an advertised 4–6 months, while NightOnly is 10 hours/day for an advertised 6–8 months.

The real cost question: what happens if you need more trays?

This is where headline-price comparisons become misleading. ALIGNERCO's current refund policy says that if a customer follows treatment guidelines but is dissatisfied at the end, they can request a re-evaluation. The request generally needs to be made within 2–3 weeks after completing treatment. If a refinement is approved, the policy states a $250 USD refinement fee.

That means a $725 purchase can become $975 before considering retainers or other follow-on costs. This does not make the plan bad value; it means a fair comparison needs to include the possibility of refinement rather than assuming the first series always produces the projected result.

Refund policy: read this before approving anything

ALIGNERCO's current policy is stage-dependent. It says cancellation can generally be requested within five days of ordering. Used impression kits cannot be returned. Dental-scan fees are non-refundable. If the clinical team determines from impressions/photos that a customer is not an appropriate candidate, ALIGNERCO says it will issue a refund subject to the stated transaction-fee terms. Once aligners are manufactured, returns are not accepted.

Importantly, the policy also says that if a customer receives the smile projection and decides not to continue, impression-kit charges and transaction processing fees may be retained. Save the version of the policy that exists when you buy.

What real users report

We reviewed multiple public Reddit threads rather than selecting a single dramatic complaint. The pattern is mixed.

Positive signals

• Some users with relatively mild shifting report visible improvement and acceptable comfort.
• Some 2026 commenters say their process has been fine and that trays fit well.
• Older threads include users who describe good results and responsive service.

Negative signals

• Recent posters repeatedly mention long production or delivery timelines.
• Several users describe slow communication or difficulty getting timely answers.
• Some users report finishing treatment with results that did not match their projection and then being quoted additional money for refinements.

These posts cannot tell us ALIGNERCO's true failure rate because Reddit users are self-selected, stories are not independently verified, and unhappy customers may be more motivated to post. What they can do is reveal failure modes worth investigating before you buy.

Is ALIGNERCO safe?

We would not reduce this to a yes/no marketing claim. ALIGNERCO says every plan is reviewed by a U.S.-licensed dentist or orthodontist. That is materially better information than an anonymous mail-order process, but tooth movement still requires appropriate diagnosis and case selection.

The American Dental Association warns about direct-to-consumer treatment models that remove diagnosis and treatment management from the dentist-patient relationship. Before remote aligners, it is reasonable to have a dentist examine your teeth and gums and ask whether recent radiographs or other records are needed for your specific case.

ALIGNERCO vs the alternatives

Our verdict

ALIGNERCO remains one of the most economically interesting remote aligner options, particularly for someone whose main constraint is price. But a $725 headline does not erase the importance of case suitability, response time when something goes wrong, or the $250 current refinement fee.

Our position is not “avoid ALIGNERCO” and it is not “ALIGNERCO is just as good as Invisalign.” The evidence supports a narrower conclusion: ALIGNERCO can be a high-value option on paper for carefully selected, price-sensitive remote-treatment shoppers, but the policy and support downside deserves more weight than many comparison pages give it.
